Starbelly Jam
Organised by a community-minded group of volunteers,
Starbelly Jam boasts great entertainment, delicious food,
friendly people and lots of happy kids with room to play.
The festival is a celebration of life through music and
friendship, offering visitors a fun time in a safe and secure
environment. With a line-up this year of Stephen Fearing,
My Son The Hurricane, After Funk, Begonia and Iskwé,

26-29 July - Calgary, Canada
Calgary Folk Music Festival
The Calgary Folk Music Festival was founded in 1980 and is
produced by the not-for-profit Folk Festival Society of Calgary.
The annual Festival is a four-day family-friendly cultural and
musical extravaganza. Over 60 artists from all around the world
perform on six daytime and two evening stages. There will also
be a folk boot camp where A Tribe Called Red (who will also be
performing) will spend time with indigenous youth, giving them
feedback on their songs, which will be followed by a public
Q&A about their music, creative process and culture. Ticket

Bumbershoot
Bumbershoot is a contemporary festival featuring
all that is current across many different genres
and art forms. From comedy to theatre to yoga
and an extensive line-up consisting of J. Cole,
the Chainsmokers, SZA, Phoenix and Blondie,
there is something for everyone in the family to
enjoy. Bumbershoot offers free wristbands to help
reunite lost children with their parents as part of
the KidSafe programme. Ticket price: USD$220 –
