Playtimes HK Magazine Spring Issue 2020 | Page 7

welcome to the spring issue of Playtimes. F inally there is light, and school, at the end of the tunnel (she say’s, touching a piece of wood for luck). The last few months have been a long hard slog. I’m sure many parents have a renewed admiration for schoolteachers ; I know I certainly do. But the finish line is in sight, at least when it comes to homeschooling . Who is more excited: the parents; the children; or the teachers, I wonder! Even with things opening up, will life return to as it was before, or will there be a new “normal”? Will we rush out to celebrate our freedom, or have we found a solace in being at home, a peace that we’d like to continue? It’s been nice not rushing around so much, that’s for sure. In this issue we explore ways to have fun indoors , as well as places to explore outside – such as museums , many of which are now partially open. Overseas holidays are still touch and go, so we may need to look closer to home for our holidays this year. Keep checking the Playtimes website and social media for our guide to summer camps and staycations. Until our next issue, stay well Spring 2020 5
