Andrew Craig, P.E. Teacher of ESF Clearwater Bay School
“Clearwater Bay School sports day combines competitive and cooperative events.
All students have the opportunity to take part in a time trialled long distance event
at the beginning of the day, whereby the three fastest times for boys and girls at
each year level are awarded 1st, 2nd and 3rd place. During the course of the day,
students take part in team-orientated events (such as the sack race) where they try
to gain as many points for their house teams. The day culminates with sprint finals,
which is an individual competitive event.”

"While scoring points and winning
trophies is a positive and rewarding part
of the experience, what matters most
are the invaluable lessons regarding fair
play and sportsmanship."
