Chinese New Year
Flower Markets
A popular tradition and destination during the lead-up to Chinese New
Year, Hong Kong’s flower markets are buzzing as households prepare
decorations and gifts for their homes and to give loved ones. Besides
the normal flower markets, one of the most popular Chinese New Year
flower markets is in Victoria Park. Although it is open during the day, the
best time to visit is at night, but be prepared for crowds! It opens early
February and will run through the New Year on 16 February. On New
Year's Eve, 15 February, it will be open until 6 am.
Family Feast
The Mandarin Oriental’s Clipper Lounge is the
perfect setting for a family get-together this
holiday with a Chinese New Year-themed buffet.
Available for brunch and dinner 16-19 February,
the buffet costs $888 per adult and $528 per
child, with options of free-flow Moët & Chandon
Brut champagne or non-alcoholic beverages at
an additional fee. www.mandarinoriental.com
