A tree growing to a height of 30 m . The opposite long-stemmed leaves have thin , green , broad at the base open blade , three- to seven-notched , with sharp , even needle-like lobes at the end . Stop sign it is 4 – 15 cm long , reddish , and when torn , it also oozes milk . Yellow-green polygamous flowers ( unisexual and bisexual at the same time ) grow in 4 – 8 cm long terminal tufts .
