PROFILE READY FOR ANYTHING By Kim Kemp | Photos by Kim Kemp Kencrete Readymix supplies concrete on KwaZulu-Natal’s coastal regions as well as inland. Kencrete’s head office and main batch plant is situated in Marburg, Port Shepstone, with additional commercial batch plants situated in Harding, Scottburgh, and Richards Bay. C lint Kendall, director and owner of Kencrete Readymix, says the company was established seven years ago after Kendall saw a gap in the market. That gap has since decreased with the ready-mix market becoming saturated with batching plants springing up like mushrooms on many construction sites. Kendall says this decision was based on his first encounter with batching plants when he was working for a company several years ago. “Word of mouth counts for a lot,” he comments and adds, “I was working with the plant, so became used to the OEM’s equipment and I have always had good service from them over the years.” Included in his equipment portfolio are two Dezzi Equipment 1200 front-loaders, two 1700s, two 2300s, and one of the recently launched TLBs, new to the Dezzi offering. 30 SEPTEMBER 2018 Clint Kendall, owner of Kencrete Readymix, is confident that his small concern will hold its ground against the bigger players in the concrete sector. stand its ground in the highly competitive environment. “We are by no means a large company, but we are able to compete with the big boys and satisfy all customers, big and small — all
