We offer a 100 % backup service— the new machines are still under warranty, and the older fleet is well maintained by our own mechanics and backed by our own fleet of service vehicles.” for us with Kemach, was the approach that the Cape Town branch adopted when we first discussed business,” Da Silva explains.“ They specced each machine for a specific application and according to our needs.”
Dependability Kemach Equipment’ s wide range of earthmoving equipment, from backhoe loaders to skid steers, wheel loaders, excavators, telescopic handlers, roughterrain forklifts, and compaction equipment, was a major factor in QuickSilva Burcon Plant Hire’ s OEM selection. But it was more than the quality of the JCB products that lay behind the decision— it was also the service. Kemach Equipment runs a service network with 18 dealers / branches servicing the whole of southern and South Africa into Namibia, distributes the full range of JCB parts, and also offers its customers 24 / 7 assistance through its team of field service technicians and product support engineers.
“ It only takes one phone call to sort out a problem. Kemach has even gone so far as to assist us with mechanical issues experienced with a machine from another OEM, arriving on site before the opposition did, which just illustrates its dedication to delivering excellent customer service,” says Da Silva.“ This is important to us because we now can pass this assurance on to our customers, giving them peace of mind that their work won’ t be impacted. And we offer a 100 % backup service— the new machines are still under warranty, and the older fleet is well maintained by our own mechanics and backed by our own fleet of service vehicles.”
Apart from growing its fleet and staff, QuickSilva Burcon Plant Hire— a level 2 B-BBEE contributor with a 125 % procurement recognition— has also embarked on a skills development programme through which it plans to upskill its staff. It has also launched a diesel mechanic apprenticeship programme for two of its staff members.“ The more knowledge our staff have, the better they will be able to assist our customers, and the better the service they deliver will be.”
“ We are well on our way to ensuring that the businesses and personnel we invest in deliver world-class products and services in all the industries we operate in,” Da Silva adds.“ And I believe that the strong relationship we have formed with Kemach Equipment will continue for many years to come.” ■
