Wirtgen South Africa has added the Screencore brand to its stable following its appointment
as the exclusive distributor for the Northern Ireland-based manufacturer’s range of products in
South Africa.
S
creencore machines are designed to
work in a wide range of applications
including quarrying, mining,
recycling, earthmoving, organics and
agriculture. In South Africa, the primary
focus is on mining and contracting
business, according to Ciarán Ryan, sales
manager at Screencore.
“Wirtgen SA are our exclusive
distributor partner for the Screencore
range in South Africa. This means that all
sales, support and aftersales activities
will be carried out by the Wirtgen team in
South Africa,” explains Ryan.
At a recent product launch attended
by Plant Equipment & Hire, Wirtgen
showcased the Screencore 365R, a 65'
radial, tracked stockpiler with a C2.2 Turbo
Cat engine and 300 tonnes per hour (tph)
capacity. This will be joined by several
other models in the near future.
“Wirtgen has a number of additional
units on order. En route to South Africa
right now is another 365R and a 480R,
which is an 80' radial, tracked unit with
a 1 200mm wide belt and a 600tph
capacity,” says Ryan.
Screencore offers a complete range of
tracked conveyors from 65’ to 100’ which
can be tailored for specific applications.
Designed to be transportable and
durable, the Screencore range offers
features such as twin drives, check valves
and hopper feeders. The Screencore
wheeled range extends from 30' to 80'.
The 365R is Screencore’s most
popular radial stacker, allowing for
massive stockpiling capacity and ultimate
flexibility. The quick-change facility from
tracking to radial mode ensures minimum
set up time after arrival on site.
Meanwhile, the radial function on the
24m Screencore 480R can be controlled
by timer, sensors and / or radio remote,
giving the customer the ultimate flexibility
with material movement and placement.
“More than 90% of the Screencore
range of machines are designed to fit
into a shipping container. Therefore, they
fold to a very compact size, making them
simple to move from site to site – critical
for contractors in particular. Additionally,
the use of quality components such
as Cat engines and our state-of-the-art
production facility in Ireland, ensures
that these units deliver the highest levels
of performance and reliability that the
customer expects when buying from
Wirtgen,” concludes Ryan.
The 365R is Screencore’s most popular radial stacker, allowing for massive stockpiling
capacity and ultimate flexibility.
