Performance monitoring, service scheduling, machine tracking, and predictive maintenance are all terms that are receiving increasing attention from OEMs such as Komatsu Mining, which monitors the performance of its on-site machines from its JoySmart Services Centre in eMalahleni.

From the company’ s eMalahleni-based JoySmart Services Centre, established in 2009, service specialists use machine monitoring and data analytics to track equipment condition and performance, helping customers get the most out of their machines.
The Centre supports the company’ s aftermarket services, including fuel services, condition monitoring, training and more, said productivity optimisation manager Leon Papenfus.
