Learning English isn’t an easy job. It takes a long time studying, learning, writing…actually, the basic rule is: to practice!
I started my studies at Planet Talk last September. I didn’t have enough money to take an English course. I used to only read things in English to practice, but it was so boring. So, I realized that English is very important to my manager career.
Today, six or seven months later, I’m working hard to improve my English and I feel that I’m progressing. Maybe, in two or three years, I will be good enough to speak with a foreigner. Actually, I’m planning on doing an exchange program in Canada or Ireland.
So, I have some advice for you to improve your English like I did:
First: everyday I read something that I like. I dedicate ten, fifty or twenty minutes to read;
Second: If you have a friend that knows English, it’s a good opportunity to practice. You can learn with him and he’ll learn with you;
Third: I like to write, it doesn’t matter if it’s right. I can use a dictionary, for example. The most important thing is, again: to practice;
Fourth: Youtube is a big tool to learn English! There are a lot of videos about experiences, people teaching how to say everything, songs with lyrics, and more;
Fifth: you need time. English isn’t a thing that you’ll learn in months. You must be dedicated every day for a long time.
So, I think these are the most important pieces of advice that I can give you. And, one more: Will is an important feature!
Good luck!
