ABSTRACT
This improvement plan is placed within the conceptual framework of the communicative approach
in the learning of a second language, is aimed at strengthening the processes of autonomous learn-
ing in the context of virtual education, given the methodological inconsistencies that were identi-
fied in the practical component for each performance competence in the virtual English courses
UNAD ENGLISH levels A1 A2-B1-B1 + -B2 offered by the Open University and Distance UNAD.
This improvement plan proposes the redesign of the aforementioned levels in the practical compo-
nent oriented to the development of skills, direction, organization and application of the content in
a playful and pertinent way within the teaching-learning process in the virtual context, through the
use of web tools 3.0.
In the same way, it is necessary to create level C1 keeping the guidelines of the other levels.
