Although I don’t have many distressed pieces
of furniture in my home, I felt like the detail
on the tables would really shine if they were
distressed. I think I was right!
Before I applied the sealer, I removed all of
the dust from the tables and wiped them
down completely. Trust me - there is nothing
worse than working hard on a project and
finding pet hair or dust sealed into the finish.
Take your time and pay close attention to this
step, and you won’t regret it.
Here are the completed tables.
I couldn’t be happier with the end result, and
they look like a million dollars!
In the beginning, my family thought I was
crazy, and didn’t think I could do anything to
bring the end table out of the 1970s.
What do they think now?
Even they agree that the tables look modern
and updated. This was a weekend project that
helped me to fall in love with my home again,
and I hope it inspires you to do the same. ■
