Dear Readers,
I hope your year is off to a great start and that you have a pretty good idea about where you want to take your business in
the months that lie ahead.
The team here at Rea & Associates is coming off of a busy tax season and has had some time to reflect on the changes
that were made as a result of the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act. As you may already know, a lot of time was invested in deciding
the best way to implement the many changes that took place in the tax code. The good news, from our perspective, is that
the work everyone put in was well worth it as we are happy to report that the vast majority of businesses came out on top.
That being said, now that we have a filing season under our belts with the new law in play, it’s a good time to reach out to
your trusted tax advisors to evaluate your current tax strategy. Find out how the new law directly affected you and what
else may be available to help yield positive results in the coming years.
Even though many of us are planning to spend a little extra time with our families to make up for the extra hours we spent
at the office filing tax returns, this is still a great time of year to reach out to us to discuss your business goals and long-
term tax strategy – which are actually some of our favorite topics. So, if you haven’t already, I encourage you to call up
your advisors and schedule a meeting. It just may be the most fruitful meeting of your entire year.
Finally, I just want to say how thankful I am to have been given the opportunity to help lead our firm’s manufacturing
practice alongside Dustin Raber and to continue the momentum started by Kyle Stemple. It’s our goal to continually find
new ways to help you move the needle in your business. In the pages of this quarter’s edition of Plain & Simple, you will
find a lot of great insight from our team of extraordinary professionals. As you are reading, if you are faced with a question
or are wondering if a project or initiative makes sense for your business, you can always reach out to the author to learn
more. We are always happy to take your call.
Sincerely,
