The Blackboard app is designed especially for students to view content and participate in courses.
Install the Blackboard App and Log in
● Use these steps to download and install the Blackboard App.
○ Download to your Apple® device
○ Download to your Android™ device
● Your device needs one of these operating systems to run the Blackboard app
○ iOS 11+
○ Android 5+
● Search for Blackboard.
● Install the Blackboard app on your mobile device.
● Open the Blackboard app and search (i.e. type) for Phalen Leadership
Academies, which is the full name of your school. *NO OTHER SCHOOL NAME WILL
WORK and/or GRANT ACCESS TO YOUR BLACKBOARD LEARN COURSE ROOMS.

1. Profile- Lists your name and permits you to upload your picture
2. Activity Stream- Lists important course activity including new content and
announcements.
3. Courses and organizations- Lists current courses (public view) and past courses
archived by year.
4. Grades-PLA will NOT utilize the cumulative (i.e. overall) grade feature
5. Due dates- Is a calendar that lists when assignments require completion.
