Classroom Checklists are a great way for the Instructional Leadership Team to decide upon a list of lookfors that they want to ensure every teacher is implementing. For example, let's say it is the beginning of the year and you want to see if teachers are ensuring their learning objectives are evident in the lesson and are providing opportunities for scholar to scholar meaningful discussion to increase scholar engagement.

  • Divide the list of teachers by the number of ILT members

  • On the same day, the ILT should go to each of their assigned classrooms

  • Start a Classroom Checklist for each teacher

  • ILT should indicate whether the lookfors are present or not in each of their assigned classrooms

  • ILT should then conduct a SWOT analysis of the data from the Classroom Checklists for the day

  • Categories Available

Click on the teacher you are observing and then click the button "Start Classroom Checklist."

Next, click on only the two lookfors you are using and decide if the practice is evident, not evident, or wasn't observed (because it wasn't an opportunity to see it).
