Leadership Opportunities for Teachers
Here at PLA, we try to provide opportunities for teachers to experience leadership roles. Providing opportunities for teachers to fill leadership roles is a great way to leverage staff and develop capacity within the school. Below are examples of ways to offer teachers leadership opportunities.
Developing and contributing to curriculum mapping and implementation
Mentoring and supporting other teachers
Contributing to the leadership of school development planning and identifying priorities
Allowing teachers' voices to be heard by forming key committees in the school (PBIS, MTSS, PLCs, School Improvement Plans...)
