mental health or addiction are throwing prescriptions out to anyone. Providers need to have more restrictions. A lot of it has to do with an unaddressed mental health problem.”

6. There’s clearly a mental health crisis, do you think that there is a direct correlation between the two?

“Absolutely, there is a direct correlation between the two. People that come into my office are usually self-prescribed and take all types of drugs. Mixing drugs and mental health is a serious problem.”

7. In light of the recent mass shooting, what would you like to see change?

“I would like see that people who are mentally challenged be monitored delicately and with care. Government agencies need to be involved and react better. Parents need to be accountable. Mental health is a bigger crisis that the drug crisis. I think we should prioritize mental health over drug abuse because drug addicts will harm themselves, not others as opposed to a mental health patient. 0 tolerance of a mental health patient purchasing a firearm”

8. Based off the election, do you think that there should be changes to the Electoral College?

“I would have to say (multiple pauses) People wouldn't campaign to the smaller states, It damages what the rest of the country has to say. It is less about people not voting, it is more about people not being campaigned for. Why would a politician go to a small town in with 15,000 to campaign for coal mining when you can go to any city in California and promise anything to a crowd of 100,000. It's a very slippery slope when it comes to the electoral college.”

9. The United States has the highest incarceration rate than any other country, should nonviolent drug offenses be waived?

“I think the whole prison system and judiciary system is a complete joke. I think that the whole thing needs to be reconstructed, there are people who have raped women and get less time than a dude who had an ounce of weed”
