and changing the perspective on police. Little by little the people can gain trust in the police once again. The next step Posters could be made and put up around the community. Posters made by the people to appreciate the police is an effective way to show appreciation. From here there could be a day specifically for the police, like a police appreciation day.

To show support is the least amount of respect you could do, it doesn’t require you to do much, it could be as simple as shaking an officers’ hand and saying “thank you.” or even putting a bumper sticker on your car that says “I heart the police” which by the way could possibly save you from a ticket. We as a community and as a generation underestimate what it is the police do and we only view the bad in them. But in reality, they do more good than they do bad. They help people out way more than they arrest criminals. We can turn it around by showing our respect towards them. Because happier police officers means a happier community.
