Our Commitment to Quality
Stowe Early Learning Center is committed to continuous improvement and providing high-quality early childhood experiences for children and families.
Our programs implement practices aligned with the National Association for the Education of Young Children( NAEYC) Early Childhood Program Standards, Head Start Performance Standards, Connecticut Early Learning and Development Standards( CT ELDS), and the expectations of Enfield Public Schools.
Through ongoing reflection, professional learning, family partnerships, and data-informed decision-making, we strive to ensure every child experiences a safe, engaging, inclusive, and developmentally appropriate learning environment.
Our Commitment to Literacy
At SELC, we believe literacy development begins long before children learn to read. Through conversations, storytelling, songs, rhymes, play, books, and meaningful interactions, children build the language and early literacy skills that support lifelong learning.
We are committed to fostering a love of literacy by creating language-rich learning environments and partnering with families to support reading, storytelling, and literacy experiences at home and at school. Together, we help children develop the communication, vocabulary, and foundational literacy skills necessary for future success.
