Sports promote team-building and healthy competition for students.
By participating in athletics, students learn the importance of personal fitness,
hard work and good sportsmanship.
PJP is a member of the competitive Pioneer Athletic Conference whose members

In PJP’s first five years, the Panthers have made our presence known! The Girls’ Volleyball Team is off to another strong
start in 2016, after winning PAC Championships for the past four years and District I Championships for three of the past
four years. The Volleyball Team made it to the PIAA Final Four in 2012 and PIAA Final Eight in 2013. The Baseball Team
won the first ever PIAA AAA State Championship in 2014, after winning the District I Championship. The Boys’ and Girls’
Basketball Teams have also seen much success. The boys brought home the first ever PAC 10 Championship in 2011,
and they made it to the PIAA state tournament three years in a row. The girls had impressive District I runs in 2012,
2013, 2015 and 2016, and qualified for the state playoffs in 2015 and 2016. The Softball Team earned PJP the first ever
District I Championship in 2011.
The Boys’ Soccer Team were District I qualifiers in 2016, and the Girls’ Soccer Team made it to the PAC 10 Championship
Game and into District I playoffs in 2014 and 2016. The PJP Cheerleading Team impressed at the UCA National Cheer
Championships in Disney World in 2016, 2014, and 2011, when their routine placed them seventh in the nation.
Individual PJP student athletes have earned District I (golf, wrestling, cross country and track and field) and PIAA State
Championship medals (wrestling and track and field).
