OUR MAIN BUILDING has four
stories of educational scientific exhibits
that range from physics in everyday life to
how electricity works. These exhibits are
designed with children in mind so
everything is easy to understand as well.
Adjacent to the main building is the
Highmark Sports Works. This is a joint
project between Highmark Health
Systems and The Carnegie Science Center
to teach children the science associated
with sports and atheletics. Our main goal
is to give physical exercise and being
active some positive reinforcement by
being fun and educational.
The USS Requin is only available during
the summer due to river conditions. The
submarine was built in 1945 and has been
an exhibit since the 1990s.
