Top: As part of TLS’s Fine Arts After-School Program, third, fourth, and fifth
graders work with the Lexington Children’s Theatre to produce James and
the Giant Peach. Just below: Under the direction of music teacher Michael
Preacely and art teacher Sarah Heller, Aladdin, this year’s fifth grade musical,
provides opportunity for the entire grade to gain in-depth experience in play
production, choreography, set design, lighting, and sound management.
Bottom: The thirteenth annual Sixth Grade Storytelling Festival is an all-day
event, showcasing students who write and memorize their own stories.
Storytellers integrate into their performances the elements of expression,
gestures, character voices, eye contact, and articulation.
