and i share. We have heard countless times that we have
‘visible love’ for each other – even in pictures.
Our wedding was one of the best days of our lives –
everything was perfect, even when it wasn’t. it was so great to
see everything fall into place, but the best part was just being in
love with each other and seeing so many of our friends and
family travel so far, just to celebrate and support our love.

Thinking back to the real high points, we both really loved
our ‘first look’. lisa wasn’t too excited about the idea of seeing
each other before the actual ceremony, but it turned out to be
our very favourite moment. she cried when she turned around
and saw me, and i cried too. We were able to experience and
discuss our emotions with each other, something that we
wouldn’t have been able to do if we had first seen each other
walking down the aisle. Our videographer said that it was one of
the best first looks he had ever witnessed.
My top tip for other couples is not to be so picky. The more
particular you are about things, the greater the chance that
something is going to stress you out on a day that should be so
happy. i planned things, of course, but i truly just allowed
things to fall into place, and we chose to laugh when things
didn’t go as planned.
