Orkney treasure
Family-run company Sheila Fleet Jewellery has Orkney-
based jewellery designer Sheila Fleet at its head. Sheila is
inspired by where she lives, and her collections are
grouped into categories such as Land, Sea, Sky, Nature,
Tradition and, of course, Love. You have pledged a future
together – show off to the world with an engagement
ring in silver, gold, palladium or platinum, with hand-set
diamonds, rubies or other precious stones.
With this ring I thee wed... For your wedding bands, choose
something traditional or ones with a contemporary twist,
plain bands or rings hand-set with precious stones. Symbolise
your eternal unity in a beautiful piece made of two rings.
Carefully crafted, the rings hold each other, interlocking to
form a new, single entity from two separate elements.
Beyond the engagement and wedding rings, they have
All that glitters
beautiful white, ivory, crystal or coloured jewellery to add
the finishing touch to your wedding dress or outfit, and
those of key members of your wedding party. Ask about
colour-matching your jewellery to the material you will be
wearing. For grooms, choose a special piece of jewellery for
your special day: a kilt pin or cufflinks to complement your
new wedding ring. www.sheilafleet.com
Wear beautiful pieces, inspired by nature…
Landscape inspired
Your rings will last a lifetime and beyond so you’ll want to make sure
they are as unique and special as you are. Jen Cunningham is a designer-
maker, hand-crafting jewellery in her Edinburgh workshop. Inspired by
the landscapes of Ayrshire where she grew up and working with the
malleable nature of sterling silver, she creates bold, beautiful jewellery.
Making bespoke commissioned jewellery is one of her favourite parts of
the job – she enjoys sketching designs and working to your brief, which
can be as simple as changing the landscape on a stock piece of
jewellery or a detailed page of text explaining your ideas with a
supporting board of inspiring images. Orders usually take four to six
weeks to make once the design has been confirmed, but they may
be able to accommodate a tighter deadline. All special occasion
rings come in luxurious black-hinged boxes to protect your rings
until your big day. www.jencunningham.co.uk
