Compatibility, in relation to military readiness, can be
defined as the balance or compromise between
community needs and interests and military needs
and interests. The goal of compatibility planning is to
promote a collaborative environment in which both
community and military entities communicate,
coordinate, and implement mutually supportive
actions. Such actions, in turn, would allow both
parties to achieve their respective objectives. This
collaborative approach will serve the basis for the
resulting policies and actions recommended by the
Pinal County JLUS.
