PillowTalk
Every human being is unique. This sounds like a cliché and it would be if we cannot
give it a meaning beyond these five words. In ‘Pillow Talk’ we disclose the beautiful
moments, the disappointments and dreams of people. In a vulnerable, and almost
intimate way, their stories are recorded in words and images, stories that make the
people portrayed unique. A uniqueness that makes them human beings.
The Urban Dictionary indicates that “the point of pillow talk though, is for two
people to enjoy each other’s presence through conversation, in a somewhat
spontaneous way, but in a way that will let both parties go to bed with clear heads”.

In Pillow Talk we portray ten people each holding their own pillow, their faces
hidden behind the bedding. Each of the ten were interviewed about their own story
during the photo sessions. Often there are sad stories about loss, loneliness and lost
dreams. Whilst others deal with the search for a source or a destiny.
