MAKE IT HAPPEN
“Being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you
will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus” - Philippians 1:6
There is a thin line between letting things happen and making things happen. One adage goes
“Pray like it all depends on God and work like God is depending on you”. We have two things
going for us - We are made in the image of God and His image remains alive today. God gave
humans dominion over all creation. Armed with these powerful truths, we are to set up to do
great things for God, for His Kingdom and for the betterment of others. When I see organizations
of all kinds building billion dollar edifices for their stockholders, I am challenged by the following
thought: If they can do that for earthly endeavors, how can we do less for God’s kingdom that is
eternal? IBM wants to build a smarter planet - We need to build better people to inhabit the
planet.
Paul encouraged the assembly at Philippi, stating that the God who had begun the good work in
them would continue working in them until the day Christ returned. Paul said he was confident
of it. As we move into this New Year, we must adopt a new mindset. We must have the mindset
that we can do everything that God asks us to do because of the power He gives us to do it. In
reality, it is all about God using all of us (1 Thessalonians 5:24). I am asking each believer to
challenge themselves to live better, serve better and give better than ever before. Furthermore,
I ask that each of you join me in asking God for the land to upgrade our ministries, our facilities
and our ministry opportunities. Finally, let us share our love and our faith wherever God leads
us. We are not just standing on holy ground - we are Holy Ground!
