Roll In To July Trainer Tip Pilates Plus Owner Loretta Woo Hoo, it’s roll in to July! And my number one tip for mastering The Rollup is get your mind right!! If you have not moved your spine in this way for years, it’s going to take some consistent prac- tice to mobilise the spine, get your abs strong and get some general length and mobility in your entire body. Many people, and I’m sure this won’t be you , think they “should” be able to do a rollup without any problem. Well, I can tell you that it took me years to be capable of doing a perfect rollup...yes, years. That’s because I had issues and imbalances in my body that needed sorting out first. I still kept on practicing and eventually I was there. So don’t get frustrated about the rollup. Figure out what you need to do to get better at it, which, as we’ve previously said is usually to do with flexibility, abdominal strength and the breath. Have the right mindset and you’ll be rolling well in to and past July! See you Loretta in the studio soon
