home to 5A runner-up Mortimer Jordan 42-36 in OT
2015 Rewind: Alexandria rolled to their best season in a
decade and came up one play short of playing in the Super Seven.
Alexandria’s 11-2 mark was the best in the Valley since a 12-1
season in 2006. The Cubs captured the 5A, Region 6 title along
the way.

offense. Pigskin Roundup All-Star and AllState lineman Dakota Sams also graduated.
Bruising fullback Jacob Heathcock will be a

Did You Know? Alexandria has had only three head football coaches in the past
66 years. Lou Scales coached the Cubs from 1948-1985 and coached both of his
successors at quarterback for Alexandria-Larry Ginn and Frank Tucker. Ginn was the
Valley Cub boss from 1986-2006 and Tucker has been the current coach since 2007.
