She smirks , then sighs :

He squeezes her hand .
SOPHIE ( CONT ' D ) Love ya too .
Sophie kisses him then gently removes the pillow from under his bandaged head .
ELI Bless ... you .
Sophie waits an emotional beat .
SOPHIE Say hi to mom .

ELI
She smothers him . There ’ s no struggle at first ... Eli just accepts it ... that is until the last breath of air leaves his lungs .
ELI ( CONT ' D ) ( muted )
AHHH !
The heart rate monitor goes wild , but Sophie doesn ’ t let go ! Eli grabs at her wrists , and after a bit more thrashing , his body goes slack . The monitor flatlines .
Sophie cries . She runs out to--
INT . HOSPITAL HALLWAY
--and screams for help . Dr . Morris and a nurse rush past her in slow motion .
