We found the one thing we missed the most was our Friday Night parties so we kept the tradition going all during college too. Over the years we included boyfriends, fiancés, and many other friends, but the four of us rarely missed a Friday night.

It’ s been 17 years since we almost lost my mom. Over the years and with many states between us, we’ ve remained a close knit family. Mom and Dad held a special place of honor at each of my roommate’ s weddings. They also traveled long distances to be a part of the births of all of our children. People look at Mom with their mouths open when she tells them she has 14 grandchildren. You can almost see them trying to do the math in their heads.
" But you only have one daughter," they say.
" Oh no, no, no she smiles as she whips out the pictures she carries with her at all times. " Let me tell you about all my special daughters." Her eyes tear up a little and she goes on and on about us.
Mom and I, together with her doctor wrote a book about our experiences. He uses it as a guideline to help his patients and their families when a major trauma occurs.
The book was a labor of love for Mom and I. We can never repay or thank my sisters enough for what they did for us. The dedication for the book reads:
