What a fun month January was! Two fresh new baby girls to photograph and two not so new baby boys :)
I also participated in the Tottenham Public School's Career Day and did 4 short workshops with the kids and discussed my career path, how I ended up where I am now and answered their questions. They had so many great people there speaking about their careers and volunteering. And the kids were awesome! :) Thank Sarah for putting my name in. Was a lot of fun!
I also applied to be a part of an amazing Canadian non-profit organization called Helping Hearts. Photographers around the country are providing free photo sessions to families with sick/disabled children in order to help capture special moments during difficult times. Please read the information in the newsletter about Helping Hearts and help to spread the word.
If you keep up with my blog, you'll know I've been entering the Bissell MVP Photo contest in order to try and win a donation for the Aussie Rescue organization we adopted Maggie from. That's why I have no photo of myself from January for the top of this page. All the photos are of Maggie! LOL
By the end of this week I should have my new 2011 pricing information posted on my web site. I've added Collections and changed the structure of the session fee a bit.
I've been doing as much networking as I can, while trying to minimize expenses in general for my business and around the house. Thank goodness the Christmas bills are done with! haha My goal is to not have to get a part time job outside of my business and I think I'm getting so close to meeting that goal. Woohoo! Wish me luck! And thank you to everyone who has been putting my name out there. I really really appreciate it!!!!
Thanks for reading! :)
