KAORI’S STYLE
Kaori creates fantastical
dreamscapes by
combining seemingly
unrelated elements that,
when woven together,
transport the viewer to
another world.
C
ommunication was the
single driving factor
that inspired Kaori
Jacoby to create. Born deaf, as
a young child she was only able
to connect to her parents by
drawing pictures.
Although her parents eventually
learned to use Japanese Sign
Language, this emphasis on
visual communication had a
lasting effect on Kaori. It was
her escape, it brought her joy,
and it gave her a means to
express herself.
Today, Kaori is a sculptor,
a licensed tattoo artist, and
a designer living in Japan. She
uses PicsArt to create whimsical
digital art pieces that embody
the unique visual language that
is all her own.
