FEATURED: Artist
Photographer Riccardo Colelli (@riccardo-colelli-1) doesn’t wait for the action to come to
him; he dives right into the thrills himself. Whether it’s a track race or surfers shredding up the
beaches outside of Rome, Ricardo’s photography goes after high-energy moments. His photos
are loaded with movement, often emphasized through long exposures that create beautifully
blurred streaks in his shots.
Some of his best standouts, however, are unique situations, like when he captured a
reenactment of the battle of Pastrengo, Italy, during the First Italian War for Independence in
1848. With a freehand camera, he shot a long exposure of a 130-horse charge and finished with
some truly beautiful shots.
Wherever Riccardo goes, he’s always able to bottle up some of the electricity of the moment in
stunning shots, and that is why he is our PicsArtist of the Month.
