Many species of birds are hatched
in spring, including goslings.
These creatures may be small,
but they’re quite active, making
a fast shutter speed necessary
for consistently sharp photos.
At 1/250 or faster, it’s possible
to freeze their motion while
also preventing camera shake.
Should you choose to share
these images in a large print or
on a blog, you’ll be glad to have
taken the extra step here. On a
camera’s small LCD screen, it’s
difficult to evaluate sharpness. In
a large print however, soft focus is
immediately evident.
