3. Be an Observer of Life
To slow the pace down, I look for quieter moments along the route. Little details like a
child waving a flag, or a particularly heartfelt sign, help to tell the whole story. Be aware
of the subtle things that may have otherwise gone by unnoticed. These are the types
of images that can be used along with the more routine shots of the politicians and
distinguished guests. Ultimately you are creating a photo essay of the day.
