After hosting six successful events, PPA Tour Asia has already become a catalyst for pickleball’ s international expansion. Koh notes that future success will be measured not only in tournaments but in“ a thriving, self-sustaining pickleball ecosystem” with domestic leagues, coaching programs, and training academies across the region.
For U. S. pros like Zane Navratil and Alix Truong, the experience was unforgettable.“ It was one of the coolest experiences of my life,” said Navratil.“ The fans’ excitement was incredible— it showed how fast the sport is spreading.” Truong, who captured gold in Da Nang, added,“ The energy overseas felt like a celebration of pickleball itself. Breaking the world attendance record was surreal and emotional.”
International pros like Long Yufei( China) and Jamie Wei( Chinese Taipei) echoed the same sentiment, emphasizing how the PPA’ s presence in Asia is inspiring new generations of players.“ Every match felt electric,” said Yufei.“ You could feel that you were part of something much bigger.”
As the tour looks ahead to 2026, new host cities and partners will join the lineup, bringing local flavor to the PPA’ s global standard of excellence. Koh sums it up best:“ Asia’ s growth is a game-changer for pickleball globally. The next challenge is simple— making pickleball the fastestgrowing sport in the world.” •
