San Diego Set to Host Nationals
Pickleball’ s premier event to feature top talent, stunning venue and unmatched energy

The pickleball world is packing its paddles and heading to the West Coast! San Diego has officially been named the host city for the 2025 USA Pickleball National Championships, set to take place Nov. 15-23 at the Barnes Tennis Center.
“ As the pinnacle tournament in our sport, the 2025 USA Pickleball National Championships in San Diego will feature elite-level competition, with only the most skilled players qualifying to participate in this prestigious tournament. The Barnes Tennis Center will provide an exceptional backdrop, offering a dynamic atmosphere for both participants and spectators alike,” said USA Pickleball CEO Mike Nealy.
“ We are committed to enhancing the experience for all involved while continuing to deliver a world-class event, and are thrilled to honor the passion and talent within the pickleball community in San Diego.”
Priority registration for the 2025 USA Pickleball National Championships opens Aug. 11 for those who earned a 2025 Golden Ticket. If spots remain, tier two of registration opens on Sept. 5 for those who won silver or bronze in a Golden Ticket tournament. Those athletes will be able to register via a lottery system.
Now in its 17th year, the USA Pickleball National Championships are the longest-standing and only national championships in pickleball, attracting elite players from
across the country. The 2024 tournament set the bar high, with more than 2,600 athletes from 47 states and 13 countries, and a crowd of 10,000 + enthusiastic spectators. The event also generated a significant economic impact— estimated at $ 3.6 million— for host city Mesa, Arizona.
