How to Build a Better Warm-Up Using Lobster Pickleball Machines

Ten focused minutes can make your time on court more productive and competitive.
A proper warm-up should do more than stretch you out. It should organize your timing, activate your feet, sharpen your spacing, and help you step into the first point feeling connected. This simple 10-minute warm-up gets you ready to play with purpose.

Basic Setup
Slow it Down
Place your Lobster on the opposite baseline with the white line marker positioned over the center mark. Enter a preloaded drill or choose the random mode.
Set FEED to 6 seconds for the full program. The six-second feed rate is important. This is a warm-up, not a survival drill. You should have enough time to hit, recover, reset, and prepare correctly for the next ball.

Run the 10-Minute Session
Minutes 0-3: Organize Contact Focus on clean timing, early preparation, and balanced contact.
Minutes 3-7: Activate Movement Focus on moving as the ball leaves the machine, setting your base, and recovering after every shot.
Minutes 7-10: Step Into the Shot Focus on recognizing a drop ball or drive early and moving forward without rushing.
COACHING TIPS
• Don’ t turn the warm-up into a power test. Hit at 60-70 % power for the warm-up.
• The machine is giving you structure. Use that structure to build the habits you want to carry into the first game. At the end of ten minutes, you should feel organized, active, and ready to play.
• Ten focused minutes now will make the rest of your time on court more productive and more competitive.

Play More. Win More.
