USA Pickleball hosted the 2023 Biofreeze USA Pickleball National Championships powered by Invited and the PPA Tour Nov . 5-12 . Pickleball ’ s largest-ever tournament — nearly 3,500 players competed — took place at Brookhaven Country Club in Farmers Branch , an inner-ring suburb of Dallas . More than 10,000 attendees took in the pickleball action on Championship Sunday and enjoyed the festivities at Brookhaven , which underwent $ 5.3 million in transformative renovations and upgrades prior to hosting the tournament .

Notable amateurs competed at Nationals .
Rick Barry is considered one of the greatest players in NBA history , and there was a time when Alice Tym was ranked as one of the world ’ s top professional tennis players . Barry and Tym were among the thousands of amateur pickleball players hoping to win a national title in their respective categories . Tym did just that , winning a mixed doubles title , while Barry earned silver in men ’ s doubles . They were joined by several other notable sports stars who competed in amateur matches .
