Central Park . The mere mention of this iconic landmark conjures up images of cinematic classics , romantic songs and unforgettable concerts , most notably Garth Brooks , New York Philharmonic , Diana Ross and the legendary Simon and Garfunkel .
Now , for the “ City That Never Sleeps ,” showcased in “ Breakfast at Tiffany ’ s ” and “ When Harry Met Sally ” among many others , you can now add pickleball to its evergrowing list of attractions .
As the famed ice skating rink , Wollman Rink , located in the middle of Central Park gives way to warmer temps , the largest pickleball installation in the Northeast , CityPickle , will be there as NYC ’ s home for all things pickleball . Play opened in early April and will run through the beginning of October .
With the magnificent New York City skyline as its backdrop , CityPickle has 14 courts available to rent every day of the week from 7 a . m . to 9 p . m . CityPickle programming includes lessons , clinics , open play , leagues , and tournaments with playing opportunities for beginners along with advanced players . CityPickle coaches are available to teach newcomers the sport , and their time can be reserved by visiting citypickle . com . The venue will also accommodate birthday parties and corporate events .
