APP NEW YORK CITY OPEN FEATURES $ 125,000 PRIZE POOL HOME OF THE USTA BILLIE JEAN KING NATIONAL TENNIS CENTER
This year ’ s event takes place May 25 - 29 , 2022 at Flushing Meadows , New York . It includes a prize purse of $ 125,000 , the largest prize purse of any pickleball tournament where no appearance fees are included . It is the first time the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center , home of the US Open , will host a pickleball tournament . On Wednesday , May 25 th , the top 72 senior pros will play in the sold out Melissa McCurley Cup . These athletes will compete in a fun day of gender and mixed doubles , in a round robin USAP approved format . Pros and amateurs , registration is open through May 11 th for the APP $ 125K New York City Open , one of the four Majors this year for 2022 , a Golden Ticket qualifier , and a USA Pickleball Sanctioned Event .
