seeking a break from winter weather . Many cruise lines are offering pickleball excursions at ports of call , while a few even have a court right on the ship . The motion of the ocean may add a fun new dimension to play , not to mention a few plastic balls for nearby dolphins to play with .
The vast majority of Canadian snowbirds head to the southern American states . You will find thousands of Canadians enjoying pickleball this winter in Florida , Texas , Arizona , New Mexico and California .
Like many Canadians , I first learned how to play this great sport while in the United States . As a result , I have just as many American pickleball friends as I do Canadian . The comradery , great competition and friendliness of our American neighbors continues to be wonderfully hospitable , and we Canadians are most appreciative .
