Mexico is becoming the new-fashioned pickleball destination . Pickleballers are eager to play in Mexico while enjoying great weather , excellent food , margaritas and beautiful scenery .
With the recent announcement elevating Liga Profesional de Pickleball Mexico ( LPPM ) to a full IFP member country ( there are only seven worldwide ), Mexico is taking the lead in Latin America . LPPM is the governing body of associated pickleball in Mexico . It oversees the Mexican national team , the league and all affiliated amateur sectors . It also controls promoting , organizing , directing , expanding and supervising competitive pickleball in Mexico .
LPPM president Javier Regalado and his team are working hard to put Mexico on the center stage of pickleball around the world . Many countries can emulate and learn from Project Mexico .
Project Mexico was established in a few short months . Every day , more and more people learn about pickleball , get enthusiastic and start to play this wonderful sport . It ’ s becoming a social , cultural and sports phenomenon , just as in Canada and the USA .

Project Mexico has an ambitious goal of installing courts in public recreational areas and public schools in 2,446 municipalities of the country ’ s 31 states . Add the private clubs , resorts and private properties , and pickleball has the potential of exploding exponentially in the next five years .
Project Mexico is organizing the very first Pickleball National Tournament , to be held Sept . 16-19 at Club de Golf San Gil in Querétaro , Mexico .
The tournament will be held during Mexico ’ s Independence Day weekend , and will be full of joy and great fun . There are international direct flights from the United States to Querétaro , Mexico City and Bajio . The organizers are doing their best to help international travelers have a safe and easy trip . Come and make history with us !
