The opening ceremonies kicked off the festivities on championship Saturday evening before the Men ’ s and Women ’ s Doubles gold medal matches . With energetic music setting the scene , and joyful cheering from the sold-out crowd , tournament participants proudly carried flags representing their home countries around championship court .
