New Membership for Youth Program Providers
USA Pickleball is excited to announce a new
membership for youth program providers as part of the strategic plan and its mission to promote and develop the sport .
“ USA Pickleball and its Board of Directors are committed to reaching youth audiences and supporting program leaders with innovative resources and training , which will serve as a long-term investment for the growth of our sport ,” states Justin Maloof , Executive Director for USA Pickleball .
One benefit of the Youth Program Provider membership is a printed copy of the Let ’ s Play Youth Pickleball Playbook and eight laminated activity cards . The playbook is designed to help teachers , coaches , recreation leaders , after-school staff , and racquet / paddle facilities on how to offer youth pickleball . It provides teachers and pickleball leaders with fun games , skill activities , play rotations and play manager tips for conducting a dynamic program . The eight laminated activity cards can be utilized for station teaching to accommodate large numbers of students in limited space .
Youth Program Provider members will have access to online instructional videos that demonstrate how to work with kids of all abilities and grade levels . The videos will also address how to work with large numbers of students in limited and non-traditional spaces ( e . g ., small gyms and playgrounds ) and how to get kids playing quickly with important fundamentals . Additionally , deeply discounted equipment will be available including paddles , balls , nets , teaching aids and more .
Last , but not least , Youth Program Provider members will receive a digital copy of Pickleball Magazine and will also be eligible for community grants to help further the sport through USA Pickleball .
According to Hope Tolley , Director of Recreational Programs & Services , “ We are excited to work with local program leaders and our network of over 1,900 Ambassadors from around the country to create future generations of pickleball players .”
