The Mixed events brought little surprises as Simone Jardim and Ben Johns had to fight off Jessie Irvine and Jeffrey Warnick for gold in an 11-8 , 11-8 set . Mills Miller and Helen Wilhelm had some exhausting sets against Kris Anderson & Dave Weinbach before they ultimately fell to Yvonne Ting and Scott Moore in the seniors mixed final . The Pro Player ’ s Cup also made its debut in Newport Beach and we saw unprecedented matches as each captain matched their hand-picked team against other captains ’ lineups . We look forward to seeing those unique matches in the next Pro Player ’ s Cup in Las Vegas later this year .
