For many referees , pickleball has become a way of life while traveling with the NBA .

Imagine living in a bubble , playing pickleball every day ,
maybe a few rounds of golf , eating delicious food and spending some time with NBA players .
NBA referees have been working — and playing pickleball — inside The Bubble in Orlando at ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex and Disney ’ s Coronado Springs Resort since the NBA restarted its season in July with the goal of keeping players , coaches and staff safe from contracting COVID-19 .
Scott Foster , one of the most well-known referees in the NBA , has also become known as “ The Commissioner ” on a pickleball court he put together at the resort .
