• A review and verification by online test of 2020 IFP
Rulebook knowledge. The review portion may be
self-driven.
• Attendance of an “in-class” review of Officiating Best
Practices, and verification by successfully completing
the Officiating Best Practices online test.
• Additional on-court training or review as necessary.
• Test results at the Level 1 Official and Level 2 Official
standards, as appropriate.

• Complete the requisite practice component.
• Arrange for vetting by a Level 2 trainer.
It is best that these steps be completed in
chronological order.
3. Moving from Level 1 to Level 2
• Confirm minimum number of games officiated.
• Increase awareness of the rules of pickleball—
reference the 2020 IFP Rulebook.
• Score 80% or better on the online Officials
Rules Test.
• Consider attending an Officials Best Practices
training or update session. Minimum would be
a self-review of the Officiating Best Practices
slide presentation and a thorough review of the
Officiating Handbook.
• Score 80% or better on the Officials Best Practices
Rules Test online.
• Complete the requisite practice component.

4. Moving from Level 2 to Level 3

Pickleball Canada has been fine-tuning many of its
