to the televised exposure, the world was able to
see Yates and Johns defend their Open title 11-
9, 9-11, 11-7. With this victory and the USAPA
National Championships last November,
the pair left no doubt that they are the most
dominant team in the sport.
With pros, wheelchair players, juniors and
other players of all levels, the Open was a
collection of more than 2,100 enthusiastic
players from around the world coming
together to compete at all levels, and was
another jewel in the crowns of Minto US
Open coordinators Terri Graham and
Chris Evon for their continuing efforts at
producing a world-class event. •
